Royal China are steadily expanding and have several branches all over Greater London (Baker St., Queensway, St. John’s
Wood, Canary Wharf, and more,) but Queensway branch is still my favorate, as do a lot of people judging by the queues
especially at weekends.
Royal China is the Chinese restaurant to go to for probably the best Dim Sum in London. These guys set the agenda for quality dim sum in London, providing an
interesting and varied selection of items that are now widely imitated
across the town.
When I have
Chinese friends or relatives in town, this is where I take them if they want dim
sum or a nice Chinese dinner. The food is excellent (on a par with good Cantonese
restaurants in Hong Kong), the prices are only slightly higher than in
Chinatown, the atmosphere is nice (as nice as an authentic Chinese restaurants
catered to Chinese people can be – if you’re Chinese, you know what I mean), and
the service is decent. Other dishes here are of good quality too. Be prepared for long queues especially at weekends for dim sum!
